Marco, maybe we'll talk when you stop ignoring verses that talk about obedience.  As in, the Holy Spirit is given to those who obey.  As in, the wrath of God is on those who disobey.  As in, those who believe and then disobey become unbelievers.  I've quoted several of these verses and then you want to bait and switch, as is usual with your tactics.  You don't want to see the truth, you just want to talk about what you want to see.

The facts remain.  The Bible NEVER once advocates a faith only/belief only stance.  Not once.

sure no faith ... keep telling yourself what you want to believe, but I'll stick with scripture
Luke 5:20 - Seeing their faith, He said, "Friend, your sins are forgiven you."
Luke 7:50 - And He said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you; go in peace."

See marco, if you really cared about what the Bible says on a subject, you'd actually investigate it further without just spouting off a scripture and attempting to isolate it for your own convenience.  That verse says nothing about faith only, for one, and two, the Bible goes on to define the TYPE of faith that is expected of us.  Oddly enough, the Bible does not promote lying about what others believe, as you so often like to do.

Plus, you're taking Luke 7:50 out of context.  Here's a real simple reason why.

44Turning toward the woman, He said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has wet My feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair.  45"You gave Me no kiss; but she, since the time I came in, has not ceased to kiss My feet.  46"You did not anoint My head with oil, but she anointed My feet with perfume.  47"For this reason I say to you, her sins, which are many, have been forgiven, for she loved much; but he who is forgiven little, loves little." 48Then He said to her, "Your sins have been forgiven."

Look at all of those ACTIONS of FAITH.  Oh, but you want to ignore them to suit your own theology, don't you?

Luke 5 is the same deal.  Their faith MOVED them to go to the roof top to lower the paralytic down to Jesus because they knew He could heal.  Their actions spoke.  Jesus saw that and rewarded them.

And still the facts remain.  Going back to the topic of this thread.  Naaman was cleansed AFTER dipping in the Jordan 7 times just as he was told.  Not before, but after the action.

Is that how it works at the kingdom hall temples. You kiss the feet of your high priest. You wail and whine and pour perfume all over the high priest at your kingdom hall church? Do you kiss his ring as well ... what happens if that ring in his back pocket ....

Your true colors shine through, marco.  How sad that you don't even acknowledge that Jesus Himself praised a woman for DOING those things for Him.  I guess it's not good enough for you though, is it?

FINAL WARNINGS

I have received numerous complaints about the climate of these forums. People are leaving because some of you simply cannot be civil. It ends now.

Three deletes and there will be a one week suspension.
If you do not comply after that, a one month suspension, then you are permanently kicked out.

Differences in opinion are not the problem. How we address one another IS the problem.
