Zacharias, Elisabeth John's Father and Mother, Of the tribe of Levi
And Mary Jesus's Mother, of the Tribe Of Judah

Years ago, I asked the Question,
"What was the difference between Jesus and John".?

They Both Had the Holy Ghost, (Luke 1:15)

Part of the Question, Was,
"Why Was John Beheaded, and Why did jesus Go on to do what he did ? And John meet his Fate the way Hi Did ..??

What was the Difference that set the Two On the Paths they Went.

In the Case of John,
Only after Years of searching, Did God Show me, What I believe to be the Answer...!!!

Jesus Said,
Matthew 5:25
Agree with thine adversary quickly,
whiles thou art in the way with him;
lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge,
and the judge deliver thee to the officer,
and thou be cast into prison.

John coming from "The Tribe of Levi"
Was of those that Say, "The Law is The Law",

No Varience, Where as With Jesus There is Long Suffering, Patience, Forgiveness ! (And All That)...!!!

It's Looking (At the Moment) that the Time line for Jesus Speaking to This ("Agree with thine adversary quickly") was After John did what He did to Herod and Herodias ("Pointing Fingers") Holding them to the Law, ("Mat 14:4 For John said unto him, It is not lawful for thee to have her.")

Did Jesus, Or God Use John, and What He did as an Example, So that we would see, How it's Not A Good thing to Point fingers and Hold People to the Letter of The Law...???

God Gave this Answer to me after a meeting with The Group of Tony Alamo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Alamo)

After what I believe to be a Very Narrow escape, from this Group,
Mind You I was just there for a Bible Study.

But, Had I been my normal self,  and boisterous,
I believe that they would have Killed me.
I've been many places and in many different situations, But Only in a few situations did I fear for my Life, This Was One of them.

Had I Not Kept my Mouth Shut,
I do believe That I would have been Killed, I did Fear for my Life...!!!

On the Ride Home from this Place (Far out in the Desert) Believing I had escaped Death, God Pointed this Verse out to Me...,,,
Matthew 5:25
Agree with thine adversary quickly,
whiles thou art in the way with him;
lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge,
and the judge deliver thee to the officer,
and thou be cast into prison.

And The Reason for John's Path ...!!!

So, My Point is About Pointing Fingers, And Holding Others to The Letter of the Law...!!!

2 Corinthians 3:2
Ye are our epistle written in our hearts,
known and read of all men:
2 Corinthians 3:3
Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us,
written not with ink,
but with the Spirit of the living God;
not in tables of stone,
but in fleshly tables of the heart.

2 Corinthians 3:4
And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:
2 Corinthians 3:5
Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves;
but our sufficiency is of God;
2 Corinthians 3:6
Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament;
not of the letter,
but of the spirit:
for the letter killeth,
but the spirit giveth life.

Poor, poor, slick rick...

Tit.1

[15] Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

John was cast into prison for one of the same reasons that Judas betrayed Christ. Jesus corrected Judas in regard to the woman and the selling of the spice. And Judas was angry because he couldn't fulfill his base desire, which was to steal the money that would be put into the treasury from the sell of the spice, which the woman used on Jesus.

John reproved Herod for taking his brother's wife, and the brother's wife had her daughter ask for his head because she had been corrected by the Word of God. John was persecuted and killed because of his love for God and His Son and the Word of truth.

Jesus was reminding John, who He, (Jesus) was according to the Word and that the mighty power of God showed forth Himself in Him, and that John's duty was not yet over, for John would be given a crown of life.

You see, when you truly love and obey the Lord, you will suffer persecution and tribulation, prison and even death because of the Word, He thus reminded John of the crown of life he would receive if he did not become offended in him.

Luke 7

[19] And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?

[20] When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?

[21] And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight.

[22] Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.

[23] And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be OFFENDED in me.

[24] And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto the people concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness for to see? A reed shaken with the wind?

[25] But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings' courts.

Jesus talks about what a great prophet John was and how he was prophesied of -

[26] But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet.

[27] This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.

[28] For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.

The key word is OFFENDED - Many become offended in Christ when they must suffer for His name, but Christ tells us that those who are not offended in Him during tribulation and persecution are blessed.

Matt.13

[21] Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for WHEN TRIBULATION OR PERSECUTION ARISES BECAUSE OF THE WORD, BY AND BY HE IS OFFENDED.

And John wascast into prison -

Matt.4

[12] Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee;

Faithfulness during tribulation and persecution results in a crown of life -

Rev.2

[10] Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, THE DEVIL SHALL CAST SOME OF YOU INTO PRISON, THAT YOU MAY BE TRIED; AND YOU SHALL HAVE TRIBULATION ten days: BE YOU FAITHFUL UNTO DEATH, AND I WILL GIVE YOU A CROWN OF LIFE.

Thus, John was blessed, not ignored. You don't agree with your enemy against God or Christ, but you rebuke and correct. Let no man despise John.

Mal.3

[1] Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to this temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.

Don't you ever get sea sick or dehydrated?

Eph.4

[14] That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

God's Word is a Sword and the Spirit of God wields it. We are commanded to take the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God -

Eph.6

[17] And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

God's Word is as a hammer that breaks in pieces. You can receive the Word's correction and be humbled, or you can reject it and be ground to powder -

Matt.21

[44] And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

Ofthefather, as typical of you, you really had not really contributed to this topic. Just attacking and using the loving word of God to attack your brothers. You are using the word of God for a sinful purpose. The word of God was given for edification not destruction, as you do.

It is fanatic like you who strap bomb in their bodies and murder those who do not agree with them, in the name of God.

Thanks God you are not Muslim. Otherwise you would be a threat to civil society.

Remember, the Catholic church used the bible to prove Protestants were wrong and killed them.
