It refers to the use of a similar swine flu vaccine in the United States in 1976 when:

    * More people died from the vaccination than from swine flu.
    * 500 cases of GBS were detected.
    * The vaccine may have increased the risk of contracting GBS by eight times.
    * The vaccine was withdrawn after just ten weeks when the link with GBS became clear.
    * The US Government was forced to pay out millions of dollars to those affected.

so now frank_g has the evidence .... so based on 1976 with 1 case and 1 death compared with the current situation, frank decides to do nothing at all. I'd say that frank_g, like his good friend nitrio, is suffering from a form of delusional thinking that would put the entire nation at risk.

this single post is of interest for those who wish to practice their critical thinking skills. Compare the situation of 1976 to 2009. For someone to use 1976 as a basis for their thinking today, it calls into question that person's ability to think critically on any issue.

The issue is of interest in that Christ tells us that we shall all know the truth and the truth shall set you free ... so frank_g: are you still willing to equate the situation in 1976 to today? Once more, at issue are politcal Christians who's minds are so politically clouded they cannot even think critically. That puts them on the same level as dimrod and his babylonian family of gods.

So thanks frank for allowing me to prove (again) how someone like dimrod is simply a caricature of many others who allow secondary agendas to set their political christian in the world points of view.

now, here is something for frank_g to think about. the 1916 flu epidemic which killed millions started off as a harmless flu virus. The issue was that the flu strain rapidly mutated into a virulent form. That is the present issue. Recently scientests have noticed:

1. the swine flu has spread more rapidly than anticipated despite efforts to curtail it; and

2. it is mutating into a more virulent form with increasing death rates that can ber plotted and graphed.

so frank_g, should the USA do nothing in face of 1 and 2?

Health Ministry: 2,000 Israelis have H1N1

However, the ministry estimated that the actual number of people infected with the H1N1 virus in Israel was much higher, due to carriers who have not yet been tested. Health Ministry Director-General Prof. Avi Yisraeli told Israel Radio on Sunday that thousands of Israelis have most probably contracted swine flu and mistaken it for regular flu.

Meanwhile, the (Israeli) Health Ministry continues to make preparations for this winter, when a serious flu outbreak is expected to take place.

On Sunday it was made public that the Health Ministry's Emergency Unit had instructed hospitals to prepare for 14,000 deaths from swine flu complications, an equal number of admissions at the peak of the outbreak, and some 1.8 million visits to local HMOs. (note the population of the USA is some 40 times that of israel).

According to the scenario, only 5% of people ill with swine flu will arrive at hospitals.

On Saturday, the Health Ministry signed an agreement on to purchase H1N1 vaccines from Swiss pharmaceutical company Novartis, about a week after it struck a similar NIS 7 million ($1.85 million) deal with French manufacturer Sanofi Pasteur.

now I'd like to clarify something for my political christian friends. Now up here in Quebec they will probably make the regular and swine flu vaccine avaible for free (isn't universal health care dangerous .... vacinated people for free ..... ). Now will I bother to get myself vacinated? Probably not, because i couldn't be bothered. Would I tell others not to do so ... no way; that's their own business, not mine.

Should anyone be unprepared? You would have to be a total fool not to take the situation seriously and not to be prepared.

However, what's the real issue ... well I like to stick with the script (which is why you would have to be a total fool not to take the current situation including political events, global warming, etc., seriously ... drob should follow his own advice ... God is in charge and He's sending us all His latest update ..):
