JC - I agree with you - I am just clarifying what you are pointing out.

Black Liberation Theology views the Bible as a black centered book. Jesus was black. Israel's slavery is about black people. It's all about the struggle of blacks to be free. The 400 years of slavery refers to blacks in America - even though this country is only 233 years old. It's not about the preachers. It is about a certain heretical slant on the truth of the Bible.

No Muslim would say they “follow Muhammad.” And the only word for “God” in Arabic is Allah. All Arab Christians worship “Allah.” So it’s a silly argument based on semantics. ....

question for swatterfield: what is the difference bewtween muhammed and allah as regards:

1. how muhammed saw himself as per own life and actions.

2. as regards to how muslims see muhammed and emulate his life

3. as regards to how muhammed is portrayed in the koran ...

Just as 1 reference to the Quran as far as the figurative things:

12: 7. `And thus, as thou hast seen, thy Lord shall choose thee and teach thee the interpretations of things divine and perfect HIS favour upon thee and upon the family of Jacob as HE perfected it upon thy two forefathers - Abraham and Isaac. Verily, thy Lord is All-Knowing, Wise.'

"the interpretations of things divine" means the spiritual truth as in "DEVINE" or heavenly. "The interpretations" referrs to God using historical Acts as "Illustrations" of something "divine" or heavenly.

This is the same truth that is reiterated in the BIBLE when we see that Christ is the Word adn teh Word is "PARABLE"...psa 78:1-3, Matthew 13:34, Mark 4:34, psa 49:4.

compare these things and don't take my word for it. Personally, I would only read the Bible for truth and understanding, and not the other...yet, the first five books of the Bible make up the beginning of the Quran, so if one were to read the Quran, concentrate on these words and ask God for His meaning to the "illustrations", hoping he has favored you to understand.

peace

http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/asiapcf/09/23/afghanistan.women.abuse/index.html

Nearly 90 percent of Afghan women suffer from domestic abuse, according to the United Nations Development Fund for Women.

now no one wants to accuse islam of treating women badly ....

QURAN 4:34

quran and jews/christians with koran references for you to check:

http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/anti-semitism/koranjews.html

pick out your own key words on any subject .... run them through google, then cross check with the koran ... tell me what you come up with Mullah Swatterfield .....

Isa = Jesus

4.157":    And their (the jews) saying: Surely we have killed the Messiah, Isa son of Marium, the apostle of Allah; and they did not kill him nor did they crucify him, but it appeared to them so (like Isa) and most surely those who differ therein are only in a doubt about it; they have no knowledge respecting it, but only follow a conjecture, and they killed him not for sure.

The Quran also gives a misinformed understanding of the Trinity as well, claiming that Christians believe that God consists of God the Father, Jesus, and.....................Mary. Yes, I know.....I'm rolling my eyes too.

It also embellished Christ's birth story. In the Quran, Christ came out of the womb giving theological discourse. What the heck???
